Grand opening Gilda's Club Williamson County Middle Tennessee

More Than 200 Join in Celebration of Gilda’s Club’s New Williamson County Location

NASHVILLE, TENN. – May 16, 2018 – On May 15, Gilda’s Club Middle Tennessee and more than 200 community leaders, members and guests celebrated the grand opening of its Williamson County location with an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony. The new facility – Gilda’s Club’s first branch location – is housed within the Provision CARES Proton Therapy Center at 4588 Carothers Parkway in Franklin. It’s currently operating three days a week, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

“This new location will enable Gilda’s Club to better serve the growing needs of Middle Tennessee’s expanding population,” said Sandy Obodzinski, president and CEO of Gilda’s Club Middle Tennessee. “We couldn’t be happier to be bringing Gilda’s free cancer support program to a second location.”

Gilda’s Club partnered with Williamson Inc. Chamber on the grand opening event to welcome business and community leaders, as well as individuals and families. It featured food and beverages from Puckett’s Trolley, Christie Cookies, Sam’s Club of Franklin, and a beautiful cake by Alba Garcia-Fitz, daughter-in-law of members Earl and Juli Fitz. There were also games and fun for the whole family – everything from corn hole and a bean bag toss to face painting and a selfie station. Seemingly countless tours of the beautiful new space, designed by long-time Gilda’s Club supporter Sprintz Furniture, were also given.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this very special event.
