Celebrating the dedication, compassion, and impact of our incredible volunteers
By: Laura Leach, LMSW

At Gilda’s Club, volunteers are the heartbeat of our community, providing essential support and bringing our mission to life each day. Their dedication and compassion allow us to offer free programs for individuals and families affected by cancer, ensuring no one has to face cancer alone. From assisting with administrative tasks and outreach to leading workshops and classes, our volunteers help create a warm, welcoming environment where members are heard, supported, and empowered. Their diverse skills and knowledge are critical to the success of our programs, and we are deeply grateful for their unwavering commitment.
Many Gilda’s Club volunteers have been impacted by cancer, some as members themselves. It’s a gift to have volunteers who understand and promote our culture of care. We are built for relationships and deeply appreciate our amazing volunteers.
As we reflect on the past year, it’s clear that the contributions of our volunteers have been invaluable in sustaining and expanding the services we offer. Volunteers play a pivotal role in enriching the lives of those we serve. Their selflessness not only helps us meet the growing need for support but also fosters a sense of hope and connection in our community. As we look to the future, we remain inspired by the generosity of our volunteers and excited for the continued impact they will have in the lives of those affected by cancer.
We are incredibly grateful for everyone who has given their time, energy, and hearts to support Gilda’s Club. Your dedication helps create a welcoming community where no one has to face cancer alone.
Making a Difference: Volunteers Share Their Stories
The dedication of our volunteers shines through in all they do. We asked a few of them why they choose to share their time and talents with us.
