Workshop volunteers have an area of expertise or interest to share with Gilda’s Club members in a workshop, lecture, class, or activity setting. Some examples include yoga, meditation, nutrition, cooking, art, medical bill management, and how to talk to your doctor. Whether you are a medical professional interested in offering an educational workshop, a chef wanting to teach a cooking class, or a hobbyist hoping to share your passion, we want to hear from you! No soliciting or sales of any kind is allowed.

Our Noogieland volunteers provide childcare while parents or caregivers attend support groups, workshops, and classes, or assist during activities and events for children, teens, and families. A background check is required for volunteers working with children in Noogieland (our kids’ space at the clubhouse).

Clerical volunteers assist with mailings and other office needs, such as welcoming members and staffing the front desk. We need both occasional and regular help, so if you have a smile and a “let’s do this” attitude, please join us!

Our community outreach volunteers play an important role in representing Gilda’s Club at health fairs and other community events, like 5k runs, music festivals, and sporting events. Activities range from handing out brochures and answering basic questions to speaking and providing social media support.

Our hospitality volunteers help us make our clubhouse feel more like home, by providing individually wrapped home-baked treats, healthy pre-packaged snacks, fruits, and veggies, as well as water, tea, and coffee, for our members to enjoy.

Gilda’s Club offers Community Meals to our members several times a month. This offers a chance for members to enjoy a casual meal and enjoy one another’s company without any cooking, clean-up, or expense. Our Community Meals serve about ten members and are provided by volunteers. If you can make a mean lasagna, a tantalizing salad (or even a phone call for take-out) this role is for you!

We are always looking for volunteers to do minor repairs and improvement projects at our Clubhouse. If you fancy yourself a handy person, we need you!
