Gilda’s Club Board Updates

As July 1 inches nearer, we are preparing for some warm welcome and some bittersweet goodbyes with our outstanding dedicated board members.

Join us in thanking four community leaders who served Gilda’s Club with distinction for two three-year terms on the board from 2017-2023. Each one is wise, mission-focused, generous, and made unique contributions during their tenure. We know Anthony, Jim, Flynn, and Keith will continue to be impactful members of the Gilda’s Club family!

Additionally, please help us celebrate our three new incoming board members, who are already making their mark on the Gilda’s Club Community.

Anthony Barton

Anthony Barton served as a Co-Chair of the reimagined Red Door Bash in 2018. He continued his support each year since to grow the gala into the award-winning event we know. During the two challenging COVID years of Virtual Bash’s Anthony worked side-by-side with the chairs, committee, and development staff to deliver successful fundraisers.  As Development Chair he oversaw yearly increases in fundraising growth, expanding funding opportunities, and raising awareness. Anthony also served on the Executive Committe.

Jim Corum

Jim Corum served as Chair of the CEO Search Committee in 2019. He was elected Board Chair and served from 2020 to 2021, a time of “unprecedented” changes as Gilda’s Club navigated the pandemic. The program team transformed an in-person cancer support community to an entirely virtual and effective program. The development and marketing team reinvented fundraising events and did not miss a beat. The board and committees all continued their crucial work in creative and novel ways. Jim’s leadership was steadfast, focused, supportive, and most of all delivered with kindness – exactly what was needed during a time of great change. Jim served on the Finance, Feasibility Study, Golf Classic, and Executive Committees.

Keith Kraft

Keith Kraft contributed expertise and experience to the Finance and Property Committees. Keith’s provided meticulous and accurate reviews of monthly financials and yearly budget presentations. When we faced building maintenance issues, Keith’s property management and operations background was invaluable. He launched the inaugural Program Committee and served as Chair. Keith served on the 2019 CEO Search Committee.

Flynn Tracy

Flynn Tracy grew Gilda’s Club’s marketing program initially by rolling up her sleeves to create materials and write press releases. She then oversaw the hiring of the first dedicated full-time Director of Marketing, established a Marketing Committee and served as Chair. Flynn served on the Executive, Finance, 2019 CEO Search, and Gilda’s Gang Committees. During Flynn’s tenure, she has worked closely with Gilda’s Director of Marketing to ensure amplified visibility across all platforms.
