Note: Unless noted otherwise, all virtual classes, workshops and lectures require registration, preferably at least 24 hours in advance. Register via the MindBody app, or by emailing RSVP@gildasclubmiddletn.org or calling us at 615-329-1124 (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.). We will then send you the easy instructions to participate via ZOOM. All you need is a camera-enabled smart phone, tablet or computer and a relatively quiet environment.

MONDAY, AUGUST 10

9:30-10:15 a.m.: Moment of Meditation with Savanna Starko, PhD.

-  Find a comfortable seat and join us as we set aside time to rest and re-center through a 15-minute guided meditation.  Release what no longer serves you.  Invite what makes you feel whole and complete into your day-to-day life, especially during trying times.  No experience or props are required.  After the guided portion, space will be available to share what's on your heart from the meditation.

TUESDAY, AUGUST 11

10-11 a.m.: Guided Imagery with Claudia Prange - Practice techniques that encourage emotional balance. Helpful in managing stress, anxiety, and pain.

6:30-8 p.m.: Life after Loss with Warren Thompson, PhD - Adults who have experienced a loss due to cancer in the last year are invited to attend this virtual grief support group series.  A commitment to the full six-week series is required. Email us at rsvp@gildasclubmiddletn.org, or call 615.329.1124 to sign up.

10:30 a.m.- noon: Summer Salad and Salsa with Tammy Sandlin - Come check out these tasty recipes.

2-3 p.m.: Learn to Draw with Meryl Kraft - Learn to see what's really in front of you and how to put that image on a piece of paper. You'll be amazed at what the artist inside of you can do. Planning to attend?  Round up these items before the class starts: paper, pencils, eraser, colored pencils, pastels or crayons, and a quiet place to sit and draw.

4:30-6:30 p.m.: Family Night: Kids and Teens with Megan Ingram Forshey, LCSW -

4:30-5:30: Ages twelve and under will do some fun writing exercises and drawing games with Stephanie DiMaggio. Teens meet 5:30-6:30 for a chance to connect, laugh, and just hang out.

6-7:30 p.m.:  Young Adults Grieving the Loss of a Parent with Dana Davis, LCSW - Find support and understanding from others in their 20s and 30s who have experienced the death of a parent due to cancer.

11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: Prostate Cancer Group with Dawson Wells, LMSW - Men who've had a prostate cancer diagnosis are invited to attend this group to share wisdom and support.
